For those interested in trail or ultra running, pre week or pre race lists can be helpful. As I plan for my first trail run, I wanted to note a few items to remember so I am ready to go.
How soon should you start planning for a trail race? 4-6 months is a good time frame to remember!
Pre Trail Running Race Tips (Week of)
- Pack my before, during and after clothing
- What is my mental strategy to do well in the race
- Get lot’s of sleep
- Make sure to do something nice for the family
- Eat right and plan the exact time I will have each meal
- how many calories, etc.
That’s it for now. More of a reminder since I have my first race in 2 days. I hope to add more to this post as I get further into some of the ultra running.
